More about this scene
For many years, Epping Forest has been a favourite place for family outings and picnics. This is but a small remnant of the ancient Forest of Essex that existed in pre-historic times. Both Henry VIII and Elizabeth I hunted here. However, in 1882 Queen Victoria announced that the forest should be for the use and enjoyment of her people for all time.
