More about this scene
The house occupied by Oliver Cromwell whilst he was governor of the Isle of Ely between 1636 and 1647 was at one time the vicarage for St Mary's Church, and is now the Ely Tourist Information Centre. As well as the usual tourist information, the centre runs an Ely ghost tour, and has a wealth of information about the Lord Protector.
