I try to visit Cwm Penmachno every June, sometimes my visit is a little late. My Grandad Hugh, was born in Beniarth (spelling?). I know his father (William Humphrey Evans) worked on Bertie’s farm and as far as I’m aware, my great Aunt Flo was actually born on the farm. My granddad, Charlie Davies, owned the post office and it was where my dad, Arfon Davies, was born. When my grandad died it was taken over by my Auntie Nellie, my dad's sister. I lived at no.4 Terrace. until 1956. I Have 5 brothers and sisters; Eira Gwyn, David Alan, Islwyn (passed away), Mena Gwyn, Einion Wyn a Glenys Wyn. My parents were Gwyn & Beryl Jones.
