Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Wednesday 18th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Wednesday 18th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Thursday 2nd January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

Before reaching the main market or shopping area, however, we pass the wide, open square. It was the officials of the Grand Junction railway that insisted that this space should be left unoccupied, and it was then used as a market square. Today this scene is little changed, except that traffic now travels along only two sides of the square - along Delamere Street in the foreground, and Market Street at the far end.

When I was younger, my Mum and Dad moved from Liverpool and came to live in Crewe. We lived in the Huts from 1945 to 1957. I'm 84 years old now and I remember those days being the happiest times of my life. We lived at 53 Park Place and I lived there with my Mum Peggy Foley, Dad Peter Foley and Elsie, Jean and Peter my three siblings. It was an all-ladies' college when I attended. Many friendships were made. Memories of teaching practices at schools in Crew and surrounds. Although I was born in Nantwich (1956), in the Barony hospital, I grew up in Crewe until the age of about twelve. We lived in Ellis Street, which then, if memory serves me right, only had three houses, even though we were in number 8! I lived in Remer St from 1941 to 1966. I remember;- Bonars farm , Mosses farm, Barnetts farm all on Remer St. Groby Rd residents, Percy Barnett, Arthur and Lizzie Badrock. Powells farm. North St Chapel Beeches garage Elliots fish and chips , Greenway Dolly Bostocks shop Greenway Billy Stretch cobblers North St. He was deaf and dumb. Micklewrights farm Stoneley Rd.
