A lone figure walks downhill from the war memorial at the Memorial Ground in Marlpit Lane. The memorial was dedicated on 16 April 1921 and contains the names of 76 local men who died in the Great War. The trees by the entrance to the ground, left, have been replaced by an expanded parking area.
