Broadwas, The River Teme c.1955

More about this scene
The pollarded willows by the river are typical of the lower Teme Valley. Fortunately, willows are well able to withstand the annual floods. In the distance is a glimpse of the timber bell turret of St Mary Magdalene's Church at Broadwas. The church stands close to the river by Broadwas Court and dates mostly from c1200.
