A Special Place
A Memory of Branscombe.
Spent several holidays in the chalets on the beach - remember Edna helping the Sellicks - Robert and Anthony and their mum and dad in the Sea Shanty Cafe. Used to get our milk from Mr.Trott at the farm who kept the milk churns in the stream to keep them cool. Also remember the bakers - where we got our bread every day. Lovely walks through the village and over the cliffs to Sidmouth - wonderful spring flowers - primroses, violets and wild garlic. - Also remember when a cow fell over the cliff edge about 200 hundred feet above the chalets from the farm above and crashed into one of the chalets. The chalet was damaged but the cow just got up and walked away!! so many happy memories.
