Transport Cafe London Road Bishopstortford

My wife's mother was Nora Ellis. She worked at the transport café, opposite the Bull Pub, in London Road. It was called the Acme Café. She also worked in the Golden Star Café, until she retired. She passed away in 1991 aged 81.
As for the Canning factory here are a few names. Daisy Salter, Harry Roberts, Chris Newman, who married my sister in-law, Sheila Ellis.

Peggy. I am Wendy's husband. Sadly both Sheila, her husband Chris and Thelma's husband, have all passed away. we plus, Linda and Thelma all live in Stortford. Is that where you live?

john and wendy,i live too far away now,in the states,will see if I travel next year,my last name was walters,and I did live in saffron walden,my mother thought I was to young to be engaged,then we moved to clacton on sea,then I met an American,and that was the end,of my living in England.neville married a girl I went to school with,and had 2 sons,people kept me up with the news,i never forgot.just thought ,how is marlene.cant remember if she worked at the factory or not,i know I always got mixed up with Sheila and marlene,as they looked alike.peggy

Marlene has also passed away, leaving Linda, Wendy and Thelma. Jean and Neville, had two sons they are Keith and Darren. I have family in the States, in Paris, Arkansas.

another sad piece of news about marlene,so so sorry,t don't know how to get my email address to you on here.comes with age,i believe I am the same age as marlene,i am on face book,but my grandaugher age 12 has completely taken over my face book page,what she has filled in about me is completely wrong ie,says I work at the crab resterent,here I am 76,trouble. is you cant eraze it.look up peggy Kelly panama city florida.also thought Neville,was married to esme salmon,i guess I was told wrong.

Peggy. Neville married a Jean Barr, she was a Harlow girl. I looked on Face book, there are lots of Peggy Kelly's but could not see one from Panama City, has yours got a profile photo? Maybe go the other way and see if you can find John Brown, worked at Save and Prosper now retired. I have photo, I have grey hair. good luck.
