Bembridge, The Old Windmill c.1955

More about this scene
This is a stone tower windmill with four common, cloth spread sails. It was winded by hand by means of an endless chain which hung from a chainwheel at the rear of the cap down to the ground. The mill ceased work 1913, and is now restored to complete, but non-working condition; it is open to visitors and owned by the National Trust.
