Blenheim House contained the Locarno (later Tiffany's Ballroom), where the resident group in the early 1960s were the pre-fame Dave Clark Five. Contemporaneous fashions undoubtedly included the Mekay 'immaculate shirts' advertised on the side of the 244 bus (which served Whitmore Way and Laindon).
