More about this scene
Taken close to Junction station, this photograph shows the North Devon Infirmary, the white building below the church tower. This opened in 1826, and lasted until a new one was built on the edge of town in 1978. The finger to the right of the tower on the river bank is an obelisk, marking the opening of Rock Park.
