More about this scene
Just look at those poor trees! This is the main shopping street, and it leads up to the Victorian clock tower at one end from the railway station at the other. All the shops are still in existence, but the proprietors have changed. The Fun Fair board (right) has gone, and the place is now Coinsville. The Central Café (left) has been replaced by Bon Marche and Multi Choice. Much to a lot of visitors' annoyance, the public toilets that were underground and nearer the clock tower have been demolished. The new ones are further away from the main street.
