Christmas Deliveries: If you placed an order on or before midday on Wednesday 18th December for Christmas delivery it was despatched before the Royal Mail or Parcel Force deadline and therefore should be received in time for Christmas. Orders placed after midday on Wednesday 18th December will be delivered in the New Year.

Please Note: Our offices and factory are now closed until Thursday 2nd January when we will be pleased to deal with any queries that have arisen during the holiday period.

My Dad was born in Gyncorrwg in 1941 and worked in the mines. My memories of Glyncorrwg would be staying with my grampy Tony who lived up the top.I still visit the village as I have cousins there I love the place, so quiet and peaceful with all the hills around you. I plan to go back in the next few months to surprise my cousins and have a good old catch up.
Iwas in the Merchant Navy, just returned from "D-DAY" invasion "OMAHA BEACH", to Port Talbot for new cargo to return there and spent a few days with my Uncle Fred & Aunt Maisie, at 31 Cymmer Rd, next door to the cinema. Maisie was one of the LEWIS family, her brother's name was IDRIS, after leaving the Merchant Navy in 1945, I worked at Duffryn Rhonnda Colliery for a while before returning to Llanharran. My father Douglas Graham Lewis was born at 10 Norton Terrace Glyncorrwg in 1918 until he moved to Surrey in 1938 with his parents John & Mabel and brother Eli. As far as I know they lived  in the same house until they moved away. Would be nice if some one remembers the family.
I've never been to Glyncorrwg but my mother, Ivy Lillian Lyonson nee Palmer was born at Nythfa, Cymmer Road (the house didn't appear to have a number only a name) in 1915. Before their marriage, her parents lived next door but one to each other at 4 and 8 Baxter Terrace. My grandmother was Catherine Sarah Palmer nee Sims and she lived with her parents at number 4 and my grandfather, Percival Charles ...see more
