I was taken to Greenacres in 1956 I hadn’t done anything wrong & was totally confused as to why I would be put there which dished out such cruelty. I was there in 1972 , worked on the farm and garden , was exspelled after 15 months , mr board was head master , it was a nightmare place , spent most of my time in the pokey lol
I lived in calne from 1960 to 1962 i have many fond memories of my time spent there i stayed with my ant and uncle i remember my first school was near the church then i was sent to a schol by double decker bus what semed like a long drivfe out of town my uncle used to take me aroun in the icecream truck the whit horse at cherhill was one place he used to sell icecreams and i would roll down the hill i remember the ...see more
I was at greenacres approved school in 1965. Miss Goldsmith was the headmistress. Wicked woman. I worked on the farm after coming out of the classroom at 15, Mr. Hayes was the teacher a Welsh man very nice. Miss trgenza was the in charge of the farm. I became a young farmer.
